Who needs to walk?

When you have 3 siblings that cater to your every whim?  Keira is particularly fond of "bringing" Norah places, I usually hear a scream that indicates she being carried somewhere she doesn't want to go.

Here Norah I'll get you up on the couch

all happy and comfy with her green smoothie for breakfast, yum!

going in for the hair pull, I'll get you back for dragging me all over this house sis!

why won't anyone play with me?

sis come back and get me down

please?

His name is now Eagle

O has declared he's changed his name to Eagle, thanks Popi for teaching him how to spell it...  This is his most recent school project, they're studying the letter P and transportation this week, right up his alley.  If you notice his response to where he'd like to fly, hopefully soon O, hopefully soon.  Oh and if you get something signed Eagle in the future you know who it's from.

chips anyone?

See our nice new rug we got for the living room?  I thought it was a good idea to give Norah some tortilla chips as a snack, what was I thinking?

let me see if I can crush them with my fingers

it's so much easier to just crush them into the rug

this is so fun

here mom want one? I saved a whole one just for you.

now I think I'll crush some with my feet, so much faster

that was a lot of work so I need to rest now

and it's drink time
How long do you think our rug will stay clean....

Twelve months

Our baby girl turns one year old today!  It seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital getting ready to meet her for the first time, I blinked and a whole year went by.  She has grown so much and seeing her little personality emerge is so exciting.  She is spoiled by the other three and I know she loves every minute of it, she follows them around the house and wants to be included in whatever they're doing.  Not yet walking but getting close, who needs to walk when you have so many little people around to get you whatever you need?  She still nurses a few times a day and I'm fine with that, it's our little quiet time which is hard to find in this house.  She has daddy wrapped around her little finger and loves every minute she gets to be with him (hopefully someday she'll tell me her secret).  She is the biggest surprise we never knew we needed and has claimed her place in this family, we love you sweet pea!

and we're done, get me out

real life

Here are a few photos from last week, what we do at home on a day to day basis.

Falling asleep while eating lunch, don't you wish you could just sleep anywhere?

working on the computer, maybe a future blog post?

how many patterns can mommy put me in at once?

clothes are optional

While the kids are at school Norah has the run of the house.  I always warn them to put their stuff away now that she's so mobile, they never listen and they have to look for all of their stuff when they get home.  She'll be a year in two days, can you believe it?

e-z bake oven

Finley got an e-z bake oven for christmas, they love to help me bake so it was the perfect gift.  I had one growing up but the new ones are nothing like it (a lot safer I'm guessing).  So far we've made chocolate chip cookies and red velvet cupcakes.  Just for a reference the cookies used a packet of mix with one teaspoon of water and you were suppose to make 12 cookies with that (12 really small cookies).  The cupcakes used a tablespoon of water plus the mix and made 12 cupcakes, here they are.

yes those are 6 "cupcakes" e-z bake oven style

one bite for Norah and they're down the hatch

These cupcakes are a lot of work and take quite a while to cook - 9mins cooking and 5mins in the cool down chamber.  That is like an eternity for my kids, they ask a million times when they're gonna be ready.  They do enjoy making them but I think we may stick to the real deal for a while, plus we're out of the e-z bake mixes.

a new friend

These guys live about 10mins from our house, we first found them driving to a park to play and it was feeding time at the ranch.  I'm guessing it's considered a wildlife ranch considering they have zebra, llama, longhorns, bison, camels and ostrich (who owns all of these creatures I'm not sure).  Anyway the girls and I went back and brought some carrots, this big guy followed them all around and ate every single carrot - hopefully they're on his list of approved foods...
